Who is University Funding Professionals?

Welcome to our site, we teach you how to reduce the risk, stress, and drama created by sending a student to college and having to figure out how you are going to pay for it.

Why University Funding Professionals?

How are we different than other consulting firms, college planners, test prep providers and school counselors?

We get you and your student ready for college

The FAFSA is not the only way to get money for college. There are ways to increase the amount of scholarships your student receives. You need to know what the college will cost you BEFORE you visit the campus with your student. We produce estimates based on the most current year's results for your family as you start

Get Ahead with UFPROS

Why should you start early when planning for their student's college education?

Planning for a student's college education as early as possible is crucial for several reasons:

Academic Preparation

  • Early planning allows students to focus on improving their academic performance, understanding admission requirements, and taking challenging courses that enhance their transcripts. This proactive approach ensures that students are better prepared for competitive admissions processes.

Financial Readiness

  • College is a significant financial investment. Starting early enables families to save money, explore financial aid options, and identify scholarships. Parents can save funds for college, which grow over time. Parents need to learn that the current limitations on student debt will reduce reliance on parent loans and long-term financial stress. Remember, if you have multiple students, you are planning for the family, not just a single student.

Exploring Options

  • Proper planning provides time to research colleges and programs thoroughly, visit campuses, and determine the best fit for the student's goals and interests. It also allows families to understand the application process and deadlines.

Building a Competitive Edge

  • Students can use the time to participate in extracurricular activities, take leadership roles, volunteer, and develop skills that make them stand out to admissions officers. Sustained involvement in such activities significantly enhances applications.

Stress Reduction

  • Early planning reduces the last-minute panic associated with applications, essays, recommendation letters, and standardized tests. It allows families to spread tasks over time, making the process more manageable.

Early Exposure

  • Introducing students to college concepts during middle school or early high school can inspire them to strive for higher academic goals and envision their future. This early exposure builds confidence in their ability to succeed in higher education.

Parents who plan can help their students academically, financially, and emotionally, resulting in a smoother transition to college. Planning will reduce the costs of college in most cases.

Let's talk about the fafsa!

The FAFSA form for 2025  is being modified again.  They have eliminated the Multi-student discount and other tools that saved you money.  If you desire to take out student loans, you must file the FAFSA.  We will discuss the new FAFSA during our free college planning workshop.
